Obituary for Bruce H. Gordon, Sr.

Bruce Henry Gordon, Sr. (affectionately known as “Bootsy”) was born on October 20, 1934 in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Christopher and Minnie Gordon. 
Bruce was employed with Plainfield Iron and Metal for over 25 years before retiring and becoming a Plainfield Crossing Guard, a job he enjoyed tremendously. He was a hardworking man with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, doing word search books, crossword puzzles, tinkering with cars and spending time laughing with his family and friends. 

Bruce, Sr. was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Jean Gordon, his son Christopher Gordon, brothers Ronald and Clyde Gordon, sisters Patricia Walls and Gloria Gordon. He leaves to carry his memories 4 daughters, Deborah Gordon of Arvada, Colorado; Christine Taylor of Plainfield NJ; Sandi Gordon (Michael) of Piscataway, NJ and Mia Tyrell of Bridgeport CT; Two sons, Bruce Gordon, Jr. (Kimberly) of Piscataway, NJ and Herman Frazier of Roselle Park, NJ; 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great-grands and 2 great-great grands. A brother Alfred Gordon (Royelle) of Piscataway, NJ ; Aunts Katie Luck of Plainfield, NJ and Katie Thomas of Rocky Mount, NC; Sister-in-Law Coretha “Cookie” Cobb of North Plainfield, NJ, a devoted friend Betty Harrison along with countless relatives, extended family and friends.
