Obituary for Barbara Joyce Moore

Barbara Joyce Moore, age 55, entered eternal rest on Tuesday August 1, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. Born in Plainfield to the late James and Mary O. (West) Lacks.

Barbara Joyce worked for over 20 years in retail and as an event coordinator and designer with an eye for detail like no other. She enjoyed sketching, painting, shopping and planning and throwing events to celebrate life. Everything she did was with excellence, class, grace and a giving heart. 

She is survived by her loving husband Norman Moore; sister Carolyn Lacks of Clementon; two brothers Berkeley Lacks (Carlessa) of New York and James Kevin Lacks of Plainfield; two brothers in life Charles Sydnor (Bridget) of South Carolina and Michael Sydnor of Plainfield, and preceded in eternal rest by brother Lindwood Wayne Lacks Sr. (Betty). She is also survived by her step-daughter Bridgette; grandson Dy’Quan and nieces and nephews, whom she regarded as her children:  Sharon, Shane (Jillian), Adrènee, Tiffany (James), Alicia, Antoinette, Kevin, Aaron, Isaiah, Michael, Charles, Daniel, Shawn, Danielle; grand nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of extended family and loving friends.
