Obituary for William Scott

William Scott, 80, was born to the late Daniel and Bertha Carden Scott in Plainfield, NJ. He departed this life Sat. Aug. 18, 2018 in Willow Creek LTC in Somerset, NJ.

William lived in Elizabeth, NJ 40 years and at the time of his death lived in Somerset. He was a member of The Cathedral International in Perth Amboy, NJ where he served on the Soup Kitchen Ministry. Mr. Scott was employed with General Motors in Linden before retiring and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is predeceased by his wives Beverly Cooper Scott and Lucy Harvey Scott ; his daughter Marla Lynn Scott; three brothers Menzy, Algernon and Daniel Scott; his stepfather Howard Smith and stepbrother Ernest Jones.

Surviving is his son William C. Scott; a stepson Darren Cooper; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church Soup Kitchen Ministry at Cathedral International, 277 Madison Ave, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861
